Winter Park Farmers Market Wedding | Laura + Patrick
Happy New Year! I’m kicking off 2017 with a couple that knows how to throw a party! Patrick and Laura were so fun to work with, we bonded over our love for Harry Potter and the mouse. I was so glad to hear that they imagined their perfect wedding day as a fun and causal celebration, which took place at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market.
Patrick and Laura started their day at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park. We found an open courtyard to capture the sweet moments during their first look. Laura was radiant in her Ivory lace gown by Allure Bridal.
Their ceremony was held under a large oak tree at Leu Gardens. After the ceremony we took just married portraits in the rose garden. I love the romantic golden hour images we captured! We quickly made our way to Park Ave to capture portraits at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market with the bridal party before losing our light.
As the guests entered the reception they were asked to sign a wooden piece, which would take place of a traditional guest book. Each table was marked with a pale pink wood number leaned against a blush floral centerpiece arranged in a rustic wood box stacked on top of vintage books and surrounded by tea lights.
It didn’t take long for the dancing to begin! Once the dance floor was full they broke out the glow sticks and blow up guitars, because why not!?
How He Proposed:
At the restaurant where they had their first date, Cask and Larder in Winter Park, Patrick popped the question. With a shared love of beer and their sentimental memory, he new it was the perfect location. After a lot of convincing, Patrick finally talked Laura into touring the brewery room. The brewery room is a space usually only open to special events, which Laura didn’t anticipate that the evening would be.
Once inside Laura describes the scene as “We were looking around and a friend pops out and starts taking pictures. I was so confused, so I turned to him and he was down one knee. The servers then brought us champagne!”
