Walt Disney World Wedding Pavilion | Elizabeth + Scott

For two lovers of all things the mouse and Star Wars, choosing the Walt Disney World Wedding Pavilion and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort to begin their happily ever after was a perfect choice.  Elizabeth and Scott’s unique wedding with its Disney classic love stories and Star Wars touches was a delight to photograph.

Elizabeth gets ready for her big day at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.  She is wearing a Justin Alexander, ivory and silver A-line ball gown from The Bridal Collection.  It has lots of crystals and beading in what she calls “beautiful chaos”.   Her four attendants are in various styles of blush pink, chiffon gowns.  Each carries beautiful bouquets of pink roses and baby’s-breath.

The ceremony, at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, is situated on its own private island on Seven Seas Lagoon.  It certainly has a romantic feel, evident in the Victorian spires, vaulted ceilings, and arched windows.  While they are saying their vows, Cinderella’s Castle is in perfect view behind them.  Since the best man “forgot” to bring the wedding rings, Disney’s Major Domo saves the day by bringing the rings to the alter on a silk pillow, nestled in a glass slipper.  The marriage portraits are taken throughout the beautiful gardens and grounds of the Wedding Pavilion.

Their Star Wars themed reception was a thrill to photograph.  Especially creative are the centerpieces designed by Elizabeth and Scott.  Guests sit at tables named after a different Star Wars planet.  Everyone was surprisingly delighted when R2D2 and two Storm Troopers came in for a visit.  Their incredible cake, in a galaxy of its own, has an Imperial Star Destroyer on it surrounded by TIE Fighters.  It’s topped with “I Love You to the DEATHSTAR and Beyond”.

After enjoying much dancing, Elizabeth and Scott send their guests away with Storm Trooper mouse ears.  May the 4th be with them in their new life journey.
