Disney Boardwalk Wedding | Brian + Meaghan

Being from New York City, Meaghan and Brian knew they didn’t want the typical huge over the top NYC wedding, and their destination Disney Boardwalk Wedding was anything but!

After exploring the options for a family friendly destination, they landed on the idea of Disney. After making an appointment to visit the Disney sites they fell in love with entire Disney Boardwalk area. They loved the romantic feel of being by the water and the beauty in the location’s décor. They had planned for the ceremony to take place at the Sea Breeze Point gazebo, but because of weather it was moved inside the Boardwalk Resort. Luckily we were still able to capture some portraits of Meagan and Brian there!

For their first look, Brian stood at the bottom of the Boardwalk resort staircase and Meaghan made her way down the stairs to meet him. The capturing of their first look was very important to Meaghan and Brian, as well as having time in the morning to take pictures with each other. Their goal was to create a laid back and relaxing atmosphere on their wedding day so they could enjoy the time with their guests.

The décor of Meaghan and Brian’s day was a mix of neutrals and sparkles with some accents of rustic pieces and wooden signs. The Bridesmaids were all wearing different sparkly Adrianna Papell dresses.

On a wooden sign leading into the ballroom, Meaghan and Brian asked their guests to avoid using their phones and cameras during the ceremony. When looking back on the pictures for their day they wanted to see their guest’s faces and reactions.

Instead of a unity candle, Meaghan and Brian created a wine box that will be opened on their one-year anniversary. Their fathers gifted the two bottles of wine and their mothers gifted words of wisdom. The box also included letters that Meaghan and Brian wrote to each other.

Meaghan and Brian have such a cute story from before their Disney Boardwalk Wedding. They were featured on How He Asked, which is where you can read about how they meet and they proposal story!
